{"id":3301,"date":"2023-01-06T16:28:45","date_gmt":"2023-01-06T22:28:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/?p=3301"},"modified":"2023-01-06T16:28:48","modified_gmt":"2023-01-06T22:28:48","slug":"typical-sales-numbers-noted-in-december-used-car-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/typical-sales-numbers-noted-in-december-used-car-market\/","title":{"rendered":"Typical sales numbers noted in December used car market"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Used car retail sales declined 8 percent in the final weeks of 2022 when compared to the same period of 2021, according to Cox Automotive\u2019s Auto Market Report this week.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cUsed sales saw a typical seasonal decline,\u201d according to Jeff Smoke, Cox Automotive Chief Economist.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The used car market fared better than the new retail sales sector, which saw a 20 percent year over year decline.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe holidays did not deliver the typical uplift in new retail sales,\u201d Smoke said.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Higher interests are impacting sales.
