The owner of Action Auto Sales and Finance in Lehi, Utah, captured with a bid of $21,200 a beautiful 2016 BMW X1 during the Manheim Auction at NIADA Accelerate Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a good cause. I\u2019m always willing to support a good cause and help the association,\u201d Berry said. \u201cThe association has been awesome to us. This show has been amazing. We\u2019ve been able to onboard several customers to our software company.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Berry is the co-owner of Carketa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Berry\u2019s newest acquisition is expected to go straight into his inventory at his dealership. The 2016 BMW X1 has just 53,000 miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI know I can sell it, a 2016 with less than 60,000 miles,\u201d Berry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Manheim donated the vehicle to benefit the NIADA Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was 11th consecutive year, the NIADA Convention and Expo included the auction of a front-line ready used vehicle to benefit the NIADA Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The NIADA Foundation coordinates the association\u2019s commitment to charitable giving and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to making numerous donations to charities nationwide and providing matching funds for local charitable projects, the Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to assist members of the automotive community affected by hurricanes and other disasters, and has established endowments that fund university scholarships for students pursuing careers in the automotive industry. The Foundation also awards one $10,000 scholarship to an exceptional Northwood University student completing their Automotive Marketing and Management degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the past 15 years, the Foundation has awarded $356,500 in college scholarships to help young people continue their education in the automotive industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
