{"id":4173,"date":"2023-08-21T08:52:35","date_gmt":"2023-08-21T13:52:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/?p=4173"},"modified":"2023-08-21T08:52:37","modified_gmt":"2023-08-21T13:52:37","slug":"unemployment-rates-stable-in-most-of-nation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/unemployment-rates-stable-in-most-of-nation\/","title":{"rendered":"Unemployment rates stable in most of nation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unemployment rates were stable in the bulk of the nation in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/news.release\/laus.nr0.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics<\/a> reported 40 states saw little change in jobless rates from June in a new report released Friday. Twenty-six states had unemployment rates mirroring the national average of 3.5 percent from July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The nationwide rate dropped slightly for a second straight month, from 3.6 percent to 3.5 percent. The economy added 187,000 jobs in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New Hampshire reported the lowest unemployment rate of 1.7 percent. Maryland and Vermont were at 1.8 each. South Dakota was at 1.9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pennsylvania reported the most significant decrease from June to July from 3.8 to 3.5.<br>Florida added the most jobs, 44,500. Indiana added 13,900 and Hawaii 5,300.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the year, Texas has added the most, 441,700, followed by California (363,000) and Florida (300,600).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nevada had the highest unemployment rate at 5.3 percent in July. The District of Columbia was at 5 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arizona (3.6 percent) and Wisconsin (2.6 percent) saw unemployment rise by 0.1 percent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Unemployment rates were stable in the bulk of the nation in July.
