{"id":4296,"date":"2023-10-05T05:40:00","date_gmt":"2023-10-05T10:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/?p=4296"},"modified":"2023-10-05T05:40:01","modified_gmt":"2023-10-05T10:40:01","slug":"truck-prices-fall-in-latest-carfax-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/truck-prices-fall-in-latest-carfax-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Truck prices fall in latest Carfax report"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Pickup truck prices fell approximately $700 in September, according to the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carfax.com\/blog\/used-car-prices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carfax Used Car Index.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trucks are down $1,700 from its highest point in May at $36,149.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s still roughly $2,400 higher than the 12-month low set back in January,\u201d Carfax reported.<br>Luxury SUVs were down $500 in September and are down $1,500 since May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOver the last three months, the average price for these fancy family haulers has dropped by about $500 each month,\u201d Carfax reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hybrids and EVs fell by $100 to $31,720.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vans and minivans had the largest increase of the seven categories reported by Carfax, rising by $400 to $24,554.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carfax points out most vehicles saw only minor changes in price in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhile the story from the past couple of months has been one of across-the-board price declines, we\u2019re starting to see some price increases, suggesting that we\u2019re approaching a leveling-off period,\u201d Carfax noted. \u201cThe UAW strike may put enough pressure on the supply of new cars that used-car prices start to climb in response to demand, especially as more suppliers have to shut down, delaying production for other automakers besides the Detroit 3.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cars were the only category under $20,000 at $19,797.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Pickup truck prices fell approximately $700 in September, according to the latest Carfax Used Car Index.
