After an opening day with the first-timers, 20 Groups and Welcome Receptions and the election of officers, dealers will receive an update on the used vehicle industry, start attending breakout sessions and hear from an American hero Tuesday at the NIADA Convention and Expo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The general session begins the day at 9 a.m. with NIADA Vice President of Dealer Development Jeremy Beck delivering the annual analytics report for dealers. The industry report provides a benchmark for dealers to guide them through the nearly 50 hours of education at the convention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The education sessions in the five tracks \u2013 BHPH, retail, compliance, marketing and management \u2013 begin at 10:15 a.m. Find the full agenda of education sessions at niada.com\/convention or on the NIADA app<\/a>. The dealer-led sessions today include BHPH Underwriting is a Team Approach with Jason March, Dan Grosvenor and April Hanson (10:15 a.m., BHPH); Lessons on Hiring that Changed My Dealership with Tim Evans (11:15 a.m., Retail); Improve Your Inventory Acquisition with Shawn Richardson and Nehad Dwikat (2:30 p.m., Management) and Building Your Brand Through Social Media with Craig Stowell (2:30 p.m., Marketing).<\/p>\n\n\n

At 4:30 p.m., make sure you are in the Lafite Ballroom for a special inspiring conversation with the Lone Survivor Marcus Luttrell.<\/a> The decorated Navy SEAL, best-selling author and podcast host will share his story of perseverance with independent car dealers. Luttrell, whose story inspired the Hollywood blockbuster Lone Survivor<\/em>, is the keynote speaker at the largest convention for the used car industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his emotional account of courage, sacrifice, honor and patriotism, Luttrell hopes to inspire independent auto dealers to never quit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luttrell will be in the CARFAX booth following the address during the opening of the Expo Hall.
