{"id":4897,"date":"2024-06-18T14:14:05","date_gmt":"2024-06-18T19:14:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/?p=4897"},"modified":"2024-06-18T14:14:09","modified_gmt":"2024-06-18T19:14:09","slug":"niada-installs-new-officers-for-2024-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/niada-installs-new-officers-for-2024-25\/","title":{"rendered":"NIADA installs new officers for 2024-25"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a rare contest after voting in the slate of officers, the NIADA membership confirmed the leadership for 2024-25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NIADA members voted against a motion to force newly elected president Michael Darrow to vacate the office.<\/p><div class=\"niada-within-articles niada-entity-placement\" style=\"text-align: center;\" id=\"niada-1858502348\"><div id=\"niada-2626215\"><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lendbuzz.com\/dealers?utm_source=UCD_Website&#038;utm_medium=Display_Roadblock&#038;utm_id=JUNE_FFSC4\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"UCD_Display_Roadblock-Banners_700x180_FFSC_4\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/05\/UCD_Display_Roadblock-Banners_700x180_FFSC_4.gif\" alt=\"\"  width=\"700\" height=\"180\"   \/><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Darrow addressed the membership in a moment of personal privilege.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Darrow said he\u2019d be honored to serve dealers and the association. He\u2019s served on the NIADA board since 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI want the dealers that follow us to have a better chance of survival in this industry,\u201d Darrow said. \u201cI want to help the image of the independent dealer. I have a vision for the future of the independent dealer and I\u2019d be honored to serve the membership and finish my term of service.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The other officers voted into leadership were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President-elect, Don Griffin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Senior Vice President, Darla Booher<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Treasurer, Dan Johnson<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Secretary, Bentley Nolan<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vice President Region 1, Chris Maher, Sr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vice President Region 2, Jack Carter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vice President Region 3, Greg Zak<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vice President Region 4, Mark Weida<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vice President At Large (2 positions), Nick Markosian and Otto Hahne<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2023-24 President Gordon Tormohlen becomes the Chairman of the Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the vote, Bert Straub, who seconded the motion, addressed the membership and said he hoped settling the issue would unify the association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NIADA CEO Jeff Martin said, \u201cI\u2019m proud of the fact this was a transparent process and dealer member voices were heard.
