{"id":4901,"date":"2024-06-18T17:51:26","date_gmt":"2024-06-18T22:51:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/?p=4901"},"modified":"2024-06-18T17:51:28","modified_gmt":"2024-06-18T22:51:28","slug":"education-advocacy-take-center-stage-during-opening-session","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/education-advocacy-take-center-stage-during-opening-session\/","title":{"rendered":"Education, advocacy take center stage during opening session"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Opening the general session of the NIADA, Chairman of the Board Gordon Tormohlen set the tone for the day full of education by announcing the newest addition to the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tormohlen highlighted the hiring of Brent Carmichael as the Director of Education, starting Jan. 1, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBrent will be joining NIADA, adding to our already powerful group of moderators and consultants,\u201d Tormohlen said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tormohlen pointed out the association was bringing back the Certified Master Dealer training in 2025. Darrow challenged his fellow dealers to use the education this week to identify a path forward for their dealership. He added that NIADA will be there to help throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe purpose of NIADA is to educate and advocate. This coming year, you&#8217;re going to see more educational offerings for our dealers to grow and build their dealerships,\u201d Darrow said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Darrow, along with Legislative Committee Chairman Lawrence Meade, encouraged dealers to attend the NIADA Policy Conference for their voices to be heard in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are all impacted by the cost of legislation and regulation.
