{"id":5410,"date":"2024-11-26T12:27:32","date_gmt":"2024-11-26T18:27:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/?p=5410"},"modified":"2024-11-26T12:27:32","modified_gmt":"2024-11-26T18:27:32","slug":"used-vehicle-prices-remain-down-for-the-past-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/used-vehicle-prices-remain-down-for-the-past-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Used vehicle prices remain down for the past year"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Used vehicle prices have ticked up in the past month but remain down for the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carfax.com\/blog\/used-car-prices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CARFAX Used Car Index for December<\/a>, used vehicle prices are down between 2 and 7 percent in the past 12 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the past month, hybrids and EVs and vans were the only categories to see a decline. Hybrids and EVs fell 0.4 percent to $30,422. Vans were down 0.3 percent to $21,970.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the year, hybrids and EVs are down 2.5 percent. Vans are down 7.4 percent in the past 12 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cars are down 4.5 percent for the year at $18,476. Pickup trucks declined 6.1 percent, approximately $1,600, since December 2023. Truck prices have increased 0.2 percent in the past month to $33,212.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTruck prices are down more than $800 since June, the high-water mark,\u201d CARFAX reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SUVs enter December with an average price of $2,534.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Used vehicle prices have ticked up in the past month but remain down for the year.
