The annual study examines shopper preferences, challenges and trends along the car buying and selling journey.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study surveyed more than 3,000 recent car buyers and sellers. The results show more consumers are using digital tools in purchasing vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study shows that consumers are mostly satisfied with their buying experience. The most challenging part of the experience was negotiating price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 80% of buyers prefer to start their shopping online but nearly 90% viewed the vehicle in person before making the purchase, including 63% taking a test drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCar buyers and sellers are more empowered than ever to personalize their journey, both online and in-person,\u201d said Alison Ciummei, Vice President of Product Marketing and Customer Insights at CarGurus. \u201cThey\u2019re using digital tools to research more deeply, take actions from home to feel more prepared for a transaction, and make decisions that lead to a more seamless dealership experience.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Even with the multiple online options, consumers are still finding their next ride close to home.
