Several state executive directors joined NIADA in Dallas, Texas, for training on Monday and Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The executive director training program included information on governance, membership, awards, dealer education, accounting, the affiliation agreement, NIADA programs and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJeff Martin and his team presented a group of newer state-level executive directors with the tools, knowledge and skills to improve their individual associations,\u201d said Washington State IADA Director of Operations Rick Olson. \u201cThis information included roles within an association, effective finances and budgets and communications with their members, each other, national and vendors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Texas IADA Executive Director Trevor Jennings, who started his role Dec. 1, said the training was invaluable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt helped me better understand the relationship between TIADA and NIADA, as well as further explain many of the NIADA programming that I was not familiar with, so I can accurately share that information,\u201d Jennings said. \u201cThe best practices and the presentations from all of the staff members were very helpful, from membership to accounting. I believe the information I learned here would have taken me significantly longer to learn, and I likely would have missed some overall items.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NIADA CEO Jeff Martin said the training helps to strengthen the partnership between the association and the state affiliates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We have such a great group of partners with our state executives who do so much for their respective states and members,\u201d Martin said. Over the last two days, we all learned a ton and really galvanized our partnership. The future is very bright for the members of independent automobile dealer associations.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Executive directors taking part in the training were: Trevor Jennings, Texas IADA; Marty Coates, Carolinas IADA; Karen Brown, Tennessee IADA; Jared Halsted, Arizona IADA; Jennifer Finlay, Florida IADA; Kathy Sabaski, MidAtlantic IADA (Deputy Executive Director), Dianne Perry Dunlap, Mississippi IADA and Rick Olson, Washington State IADA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Several state executive directors joined NIADA in Dallas, Texas, for training on Monday and Tuesday.
