{"id":6757,"date":"2026-01-21T13:30:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T19:30:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/?p=6757"},"modified":"2026-01-21T14:50:57","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T20:50:57","slug":"dealers-share-insight-during-20-group-site-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/dealers-share-insight-during-20-group-site-visit\/","title":{"rendered":"Dealers share insight during 20 Group site visit"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Learn more about how 20 Groups can impact business during information session<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seasonably warm sunshine greeted dealers as Robert Ogle and Hardin Camp welcomed their fellow members of the DB4 20 Group to their BHPH dealership, Armor Auto Sales, in North Austin, Texas, in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The site visit was part of the 20 Group meeting in which dealers discussed a variety of industry hot tops and their dealership numbers with peers to improve their businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ogle and Camp had taken over the operations of the dealership two years ago, selling approximately 10 cars per month. It has approximately 120 accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe realized there was a lot more potential in BHPH,\u201d Ogle said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Located in an industrial area just off Interstate 35, the dealership sees little foot traffic. Ogle said that it has been a challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe need to get more traffic,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dealership recently brought on a new marketing company to lead the digital marketing efforts on social media to bring in more potential customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dana Springer of Carpro Auto Sales in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, immediately identified Armor\u2019s need to step up its marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey definitely need more marketing, old school and new school,\u201d Springer said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Springer points out how some of their customers will see their dealership\u2019s name in two or three places online before contacting them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On-site, the dealers made several suggestions, starting with the signage around the dealership. Armor had one buy-here, pay-here flag on the fence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d put a 10 by 10 foot banner on the fence,\u201d said Chris Pollock of Cherokee Auto Sales in Knoxville, Tennessee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dealers stressed the need to improve the signage on the building. Springer even used AI to design a logo that could be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"730\" src=\"http:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/01\/deal-jacket-1024x730.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6760\" srcset=\"https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/01\/deal-jacket-1024x730.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/01\/deal-jacket-300x214.jpg 300w, https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/01\/deal-jacket-768x548.jpg 768w, https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/01\/deal-jacket-1536x1095.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/01\/deal-jacket-380x271.jpg 380w, https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/01\/deal-jacket-550x392.jpg 550w, https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/01\/deal-jacket-800x570.jpg 800w, https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/01\/deal-jacket-1160x827.jpg 1160w, https:\/\/niada.com\/dashboard\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/01\/deal-jacket.jpg 1700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the lot, the 20 Group members suggested changing the orientation of the vehicles to face the front entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey need to put all the cars facing the opening and get stickers on the cars,\u201d Pollock said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ogle expected they would immediately act on turning the cars around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another suggestion was moving the Jeep Wrangler and Toyota FJs out of the building to put on the front row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dealers complimented the dealerships\u2019 inventory, which included several trucks, a Ford Mustang and SUVs. Multiple dealers suggested adding family vehicles, such as minivans and SUVs with third-row seating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cleanliness of the building and concrete lot impressed the dealers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe lot is really nice. It\u2019s very clean. I wish my lot was this clean,\u201d said Ali Supriwala of Georgia Auto Gallery in Lilburn, Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supriwala was making his first site visit as part of a 20 Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m learning a lot seeing another dealership,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ogle appreciated the feedback of his fellow dealers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It was great to get their feedback. There were things they saw for obvious improvements.
