The goal is to provide a secure, standard electronic process for motor vehicle agencies to facilitate vehicle sales between parties without reliance on paper titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe solution allows jurisdictions to efficiently facilitate real-time vehicle sale transactions, which include user authentication, odometer disclosure and electronic vehicle record transfers. This process ensures that the new titling jurisdiction receives sufficient information to accurately title the vehicle within their authority,\u201d according to a statement from the AAMVA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AAMVA expects the move to e-titling to reduce fraud, improve efficiency and enhance consumer experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Private Party Vehicle Sale is the first use case being addressed under AAMVA\u2019s Electronic Vehicle Sale Solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPrivate Party Vehicle Sale Solution includes business processes and procedures as well as systems needed to facilitate vehicle record transfer from one individual to another. This solution provides jurisdictions with implementation flexibility. They may choose to enable private party vehicle sales for interstate transfers, intrastate transfers, or both, based on their specific business needs and existing processes,\u201d AAMVA said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AAMVA noted its next priority in the continual development of electronic title solutions is used vehicle dealer sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAAMVA is currently analyzing and designing a solution that will support dealer-to-private party and private party-to-dealer transactions,\u201d the association stated. \u201cAs this use case moves forward, stakeholders will have opportunities to engage and provide input.
