The Tesla Model 3 again claimed the top spot, followed by the Model Y, Jeep Gladiator, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Honda Ridgeline.

This year’s list narrowed to 86 vehicles from 379 studied, down from 99 a year ago, as discontinued EVs dropped off and shoppers weighed overall cost over fuel savings. Even so, the top 10 averaged 70% domestic parts content for a second straight year, a sign of gradual reshoring across some supply chains.

For independent dealers, the report makes a point worth noting: vehicles that never crack the index still power the American economy. Cars.com credits dealership operations, independent repair shops, parts and tire retailers, and auction houses among the jobs every car supports, whether built in Ohio or imported from abroad.

Domestic or not, each vehicle on the lot keeps that engine running, in Detroit and on Main Street alike.

As the nation marks its 250th birthday this Independence Day, Cars.com released its 21st annual American-Made Index, ranking…

[3,12

post-7444","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-industry","category-sales-marketing","cs-entry","cs-video-wrap
["GET
