NQD Award

A half-century of recognizing the independent dealer at their very best.

Created in 1976, the National Quality Dealer Award honors one carefully selected dealer each year — a leader whose work in the industry, with their customers, and in their community has set the standard for everyone else.

This coveted award is presented at NIADA's Annual Convention & Expo during the National Quality Dealer Award Dinner — in front of industry leaders and fellow dealers who understand what it takes to earn the honor.

National Quality Dealer nomination packets are reviewed by a distinguished panel of judges using a rigorous scoring metric. The dealer's reputation in their community, repeat business, customer service, ethical business practices, and corporate and employee relationships all factor into the decision.

Selection Criteria

  • 01
Contributions to the Industry Service to NIADA, the dealer's state association, and the broader independent automotive community.
  • 02
Outstanding Business Operations Exceptional customer service, ethical practices, and strong employee and partner relationships.
  • 03
Community Involvement & Service A demonstrated commitment to giving back — time, talent, and resources — to the community the dealer calls home.

Eleven dealers. One distinguished honor.

This year's finalists represent the best of their state associations — each one nominated for the quality of their business, the depth of their service to NIADA, and the impact they've made in the communities they call home.
