How to get involved

Learn how to make a change in the independent auto industry at large by getting involved in committees and associations made up of people like you.

The best way to get involved is by reaching out to your state association.  Most state associations need your help and support. Most NIADA board and committee members started in leadership roles within their state organization. The members of NIADA boards are members who have provided leadership and service to the industry through their state association boards and on NIADA committees.

Where to start

NIADA represents more than 15,000 independent auto dealers. NIADA protects and supports the interests of the independent auto dealer on a Federal level.  Our state associations lead the fight in their respective states to support and protect our industry.  They also support NIADA’s efforts to help educate dealers, lobby for the industry in Washington, D.C. and the states as well.

In addition to the NIADA Board of Directors, there are committees confirmed by the Board to help oversee the various NIADA initiatives.

The Buy Here, Pay Here (BHPH) Commission shall be charged with establishing NIADA as the preeminent voice for BHPH dealers and industry providers.

NIADA Political Action Committee:

The Political Action Committee (PAC) is charged with providing the opportunity for individuals interested in the future of the independent auto industry to contribute to the support of worthy candidates for Federal office who believe, and have demonstrated their beliefs in, the principles to which the independent auto industry is dedicated. To further these purposes, the Committee is empowered to solicit, directly or indirectly, and accept, voluntary personal contributions and expenditures in connection with the attempt to influence the selection, nomination, or electing of any individual to any Federal office.
