Used truck prices surged by nearly $1,100 in June.

It was the largest increase for pickup truck prices since May 2023, according to the CARFAX Used Car Index.

“Pickup trucks have long been a popular choice for American shoppers. Today, though, there are fewer used vehicles available (partially as a result of the pandemic) and new pickup trucks cost more than ever. All of those forces combined to make used truck prices on CARFAX jump nearly $1,100 in June,” noted CARFAX.

With the 3.2 percent increase, truck prices were at $34,420.

Hybrid and EVs increased in price by $850 to $31,494 and have seen a spike in price of more than $2,300 since January.

SUVs saw a modest increase in price of 0.9 percent to $24,082. Cars were up 1.4 percent to $18,234. Vans were the lone category to see a price decrease, falling 0.6 percent to $22,478
