Last weekend NIADA attended the Northwood University International Auto Show (NUIAS) in Midland, Michigan. For the past 63 years, Northwood University has hosted the nation’s largest outdoor exhibition for aftermarket companies and automotive brands. The NUIAS, held at the beginning of each academic year, has been completely student-led since its founding.
“It was great to have NIADA present at this year’s show,” said NIADA President Darla Booher. “It’s another opportunity for NIADA to promote who we are as an association and to meet the next generation who will soon be leading the automotive industry.”
NIADA President Darla Booher, past President Gordy Tormohlen, Region 3 VP Otto Hahne, and CEO Jeff Martin were in attendance. Each year, the NIADA Foundation provides a $10,000 scholarship to a Northwood University student enrolled in the automotive program. The scholarship, sponsored by Cox Automotive, is awarded at the NIADA Annual Convention.
