In her 15 years working at Auto Connection in Virginia, Elizabeth Sifen has attended multiple NIADA conventions to pick up tips and information about software to assist with the handling of the dealership’s accounting.
“This will be the fourth convention for me,” Sifen said. “I’m looking at how the financial systems work and ways to help.”
Sifen will be attending the NIADA Accelerate 2023 Convention and Expo with her husband Barry, the CFO at Auto Connection, with upgraded accommodations. The Sifens won NIADA’s May 17 drawing for three nights in a suite at the Wynn in Las Vegas, the home of this year’s NIADA Convention & Expo.
The Sifens are the second attendees to receive three free nights in a Wynn suite. Jeffrey Myers of All Wheel Drive in Denver, Colo., won a previous drawing.
“We are excited,” Elizabeth Sifen said. “At first, we were surprised. I did tell them, I’m the fraud person and will need to confirm.”
Mrs. Sifen joined Auto Connection, a BHPH dealership with stores in Norfolk and Richmond, after retiring from Bank of America and now handles Auto Connection’s banking, accounting and monitor accounts for potential fraud.
NIADA is going to give a third attendee a chance to win three free nights in a suite at the Wynne June 19-21. All dealers with paid registration to the convention and expo by midnight May 29, 2023, will be eligible for the drawing, which will be held May 31. The May 29 deadline also coincides with the last day of NIADA group rates at the Wynn, which start at $174/night plus taxes and a reduced resort fee of $25/night.
“This is a great way for us to give back to our dealers”, said NIADA CEO Jeff Martin. “These suites are some of the nicest rooms at the Wynn. Everyone on our team looks forward to the drawing days because they know another dealer member is going to enjoy something special. At the end of the day, this is all about the dealers”
During the four days of the largest convention for the independent dealer, there are 77 education sessions to help with multiple areas of operations at the dealership. There are also more than 200 providers in the exhibit hall to assist with solutions at your dealership. Also, lenders will be on hand to visit with during the finance fair.
