Arizona dealer passes away

One of the men who helped develop the Arizona Independent Autodealers Association recently died.

Armand “Spud” Sperduti died on Feb. 24, shortly after celebrating his 95th birthday.

Sperduti opened his Suburban Motors in Tucson in 1962, focusing on classic cars. He ran the dealership until 2023.

“He was a great man. He was a pillar in our industry,” said Michael Cunningham, a fellow Arizona dealer and former NIADA president. “He was one of the seven founding members of the AIADA. His word was his bond. He was known and loved in our industry.”

Sperduti was a veteran of the Army Air Corps and United States Air Force.
