Tennessee IADA chat it up in Chat Town

Tennessee independent dealers packed Dealer Auto Auction in Chattanooga earlier this month to hear speakers from Hudson Cook discuss regulations related to the Safeguards Rule, CARS Rule and more.

NIADA was also on hand to encourage members to become more active in the association.

At the meeting, TNIADA gave two free registrations the NIADA Convention and Expo to new dealers who have never attended.

“We want to have a big group from Tennessee at this year’s convention,” said TNIADA Executive Director Karen Brown.

TNIADA has been holding similar dealer meetings across the state in the past few years. Later this year, Brown and the TNIADA board plan to host the first statewide convention in years.

Randy Jones from Alabama IADA and NIADA CEO Jeff Martin joined Brown in the lanes at the auction to introduce dealers to their respective state associations.

“I could not be more proud of what both Karen and Randy or doing. Getting out and spending time with the dealers, providing updates and educating members is what our associations should be doing,” Martin said. “We have so many great dealers and leaders in our association. I learn something every time I spend time with these guys.”
