Throughout her more than 40 years in the auto industry, Betty “Bet” Gaylord has always loved sharing information and learning from her peers.
The owner of Gaylord Sales & Leasing in Aurora, Colorado, is thrilled for the opportunity to represent her fellow dealers on the NIADA Board of Directors. NIADA board members recently appointed Gaylord to fill the unexpired term for the open Region V Vice President seat.

“I have spent most of my lifetime in the industry, and I’m most honored to be selected to serve on the NIADA Board,” Gaylord said. “To be able to continue to give back to dealers, the industry and the association is my whole heart. It’s truly an honor.”
Gaylord has owned Gaylord Sales & Leasing for 36 years, starting with her late husband, Tim. She is now partnering with her daughter, Crystal Gonzales.
Along with owning a dealership, Gaylord has worked in automotive finance for more than 30 years for some of the industry’s biggest names – Chase and Cox Automotive’s Manheim, vAuto and NextGear. Throughout her career, she’s helped dealers navigate the market, most recently assisting with floor plans. She has announced her retirement from NextGear at the end of the year to return full-time to her dealership.
“It’s been a fun journey. God did it all,” Gaylord said.
“There are no more callbacks. I get to go back to the dealership full-time, where I want to be.”
