The 68th Carolinas Independent Auto Dealers Convention and Expo begins today at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The three-day event, which runs through Saturday night, features several education and training classes focused on helping independent dealers capitalize on the economic recovery.

The opening reception, including a family casino and bingo night, is slated for 6 p.m. Thursday.

NIADA CEO Jeff Martin will speak at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the start of a full day of classes.

Over the three days there will be plenty of opportunities to network and visit with vendors at the large expo.

The convention will close at 6:30 p.m. Saturday with the CIADA Awards Dinner, silent auction and raffle. CIADA will name its Quality Dealer of the Year at the dinner.
