The Carolinas Independent Auto Dealers Association wrapped up its successful convention Saturday by naming Michael Threadgill as its Quality Dealer of the Year.
The 68th Annual CIADA Convention in Myrtle Beach, S.C., drew a large crowd for three days of education and training.
“It was a great event. I was honored to be invited and was very impressed by the educational opportunities the association provided for their dealers. Even better was the hospitality they showed toward Lauri and I,” said NIADA President Gordy Tormohlen,
Tormohlen swore in the new officers, including President Jerry Pedrick.
Dealers from across the Carolinas, and a few out-of-state dealers from New Jersey and West Virginia, packed the education sessions.
“When you see that many dealers attending a state convention, you know they are doing something right,” said NIADA CEO Jeff Martin. “For years, the Carolinas have had such strong leadership at the state and national level. I met of number of newer dealers at this year’s convention who will be next in line to keep that tradition going. Great dealers across the board.”
Threadgill, the immediate past chairman of the CIADA, is a third-generation car dealer. He is the co-owner and president of Triple T Motors in Florence, S.C.
Threadgill served on the CIADA Executive Board for six years. He is a National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Certified Master Dealer.
Threadgill was recognized this past spring by the South Carolina General Assembly for his contributions to the CIADA. Threadgill also received a Crystal Eagle award at the NIADA Convention and Expo in June.
Martin and Tormohlen congratulated Threadgill on the honor.
