Missouri Republican Sam Graves will remain the chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives’ Transportation and Infrastructure committee.
The Republican House Steering Committee granted a waiver Tuesday to allow Graves to serve a fourth consecutive term as the leader of the committee, which has jurisdiction over all modes of transportation, including highways and bridges. The House Transportation and Infrastructure committee has jurisdiction over the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Before leading the committee, he served as the chairman of the subcommittee on highways and transportation.
The steering committee will be announcing other chairmanships in the coming week.
