How to attract customers in today’s used vehicle market

In today’s used vehicle market, with increasing wholesale prices and challenges of affordability for consumers, dealers are looking for strategies to get customers on the lot.

An overwhelming number of consumers start their buying process online. According to Cox Automotive’s 2022 Car Buyer Journey Study, consumers visited nearly five websites in researching vehicles

But in the crowd of dealers, how do you stand out and complete sales? Answers will be found during the panel discussion led by Bob Grill, Senior Partner Development Manager at CARFAX, during NIADA Accelerate 2023 at the Wynn in Las Vegas.

The session will be one of more than 60 led by industry experts during the largest convention and expo for the independent automobile dealer.

“It will be a special panel discussion about today’s buyer and what they’re looking for in listings, and how to make your car stand out,” Grill explained. “It’s not the price and the payment that makes your car stand out.”

Grill adds that a majority of websites blend together and makes it hard for individual dealers to stand out. But the panel assembled has strategies to help you rise above the crowd, without impacting your bottom line.

“We’ve put together an excellent panel to be able to share with you how to do all aspects of it from marketing your vehicles to communicating with the leads to how to price it to attract today’s buyer,” Grill said. “We promise it’s new. It won’t cost you a thing and it’s something you can do immediately at your dealership.”

CARFAX is also the sponsor for the keynote speaker, boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard.
