Join NIADA Leadership; Board applications due by Feb. 13

NIADA is now accepting applications from members interested in serving on the Board of Directors.

The NIADA Board consists of 12 members, who are responsible for the policy and financial management of the association and for hiring and overseeing the CEO. The board includes the chairman, president, president-elect, senior vice president, treasurer, secretary and six vice presidents representing each of the association’s regions.

Candidates for the board must meet the following qualifications for consideration:

  • Hold a dealer license
  • Must have been in business for five years
  • Have previous experience on a state association board or a national association committee
  • Submit to and pass a criminal background check
  • Receive a letter of recommendation from the state AEC, if applicable

Board members are expected to actively attend meetings and events.

The deadline to apply is the close of the business day, Feb. 13, 2026. Candidates will be reviewed by the Leadership Development Committee and presented at least 60 days before the NIADA Convention and Expo, where the Annual Meeting is held. Candidates not put forth by the committee can seek a spot on the list of candidates at least 30 days before the Annual Meeting. Nominations can also be made from the floor at the Annual Meeting.
