Earlier this month, NIADA Director of Government Relations and Compliance Patrick O’Brien joined independent dealers of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware at the MidAtlantic IADA Annual Convention & Tailgate. The event was held Oct. 4–5 at Caesars Atlantic City.

During the Opening General Session, O’Brien teamed up with Corinne Kirkendall of PassTime and Steve Levine of Ignite Consulting Partners for “Regulatory Roulette: Don’t Bet the Business.” The panel walked dealers through the legislative, regulatory, and compliance issues affecting their businesses, including national policy developments, dealership compliance considerations, and practical issues to watch.

The convention’s football tailgate theme captured the fun and camaraderie our state affiliates have built. Like any winning team, our industry is strongest when every player comes together, and that teamwork starts at the state level. We’re looking forward to the next state convention!
