NIADA Foundation raises support for dealers impacted by storms

As preparations continue in Florida for the pending landfall of Hurricane Milton, NIADA is holding dealers and members in the path of the storm in its thoughts.

NIADA continues to monitor recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene left a path of destruction from Florida through Georgia, the Carolinas and into Tennessee. Independent auto dealers were among the many small businesses impacted. NIADA has been in contact with Executive Directors and dealers throughout the region.

Those wishing to help the recovery efforts of these dealers are asked to donate to the NIADA Foundation. The NIADA Foundation raises and distributes donations to assist members of the automotive community after natural disasters.

Those wishing to help can donate at niada.com/donate.

“The Foundation is for dealers helping dealers,” said Mark Weida, NIADA Foundation Chairman, the owner of Smart Street Auto Brokers in Colorado Springs, Colorado. “We want our association there for dealers.”

An application through the state association for assistance will be available through October 31. Funds will be distributed in November.

The Used Car Dealers of Colorado Charity Fund is contributing $10,000 to help dealers in impacted areas.

“The dealers in the Southeast are in the hearts of our guys. We bid against each other in the auction lane but we’re all there to help each other,” said David Cardella, Executive Director of the Colorado IADA.

Thanks to all those who have made donations to the Foundation to help our dealers impacted by this tragedy.
