PAC Cup Dinner raises $100K

The NIADA PAC Cup was captured by Region II Tuesday night, as the dealers in the region raised and donated $43,350.

In all the four regions combined to add $100,950 to the NIADA PAC’s fund during the spirited dinner.

The NIADA PAC supports candidates who understand issues facing independent automobile dealers in our nation’s capital.

“Our voice keeps the association going,” said Stan Norton, the chairman of the NIADA PAC.

Dealers during the dinner heard from Andy Zay, who is running for Indiana’s District 3 Congressional seat. Zay, the former president of the Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association and longtime dealership owner, is a state senator. He is in a crowded race for the seat in Congress. He asked dealers to help him raise $1 million to stand out in the 10-person race.

“It’s time to take our voice to the national level,” Zay said. “Lobbyists costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. With me, you’ll not only have a voice but a vote.”
