Before going to Capitol Hill, dealers and industry members will receive updates about the used vehicle industry and the impact of legislation and regulations from a pair of panels at the NIADA Policy Conference.

The NIADA Policy Conference returns to Washington, D.C., Sept. 15-16. The annual event brings dealers face-to-face with legislators during the Day on the Hill to discuss legislation and regulations impacting the independent auto industry.

Registration is now open at niada.com/policyconference. Registration for dealers is $100. Discounted room rates are available for $299 per night through Aug. 19 or until the room block is sold out.

To open the Policy Conference education Sept. 15, attendees will hear from a cross-section of industry representatives on legislation and regulations impacting the used vehicle market. Representatives from several state associations will also share information on their victories and challenges in state houses and agencies during the past legislative session.

The education sessions will be followed by the NIADA Political Action Committee Dinner. NIADA’s six regions will compete for the PAC Cup, looking to bring in the most contributions.

The Day on the Hill is Sept. 16, where attendees will meet with lawmakers, enjoy lunch at the Library of Congress and attend a reception with members of the U.S. Congress.
