Dealers to provide strategies on collections at BHPH Dealer Forum

After 37 years in business, Lisa Marshall stands firm on what a successful collections strategy is built on – relationships.

“The processes have changed as technology has evolved, but I keep going back to this, the foundation of collections has not changed. It’s because it’s really based on relationships,” Marshall said. “You have to have a true understanding for the customer and appreciation for what life throws at them.”

At the BHPH Dealer Forum in New Orleans Nov. 10-12, Marshall, the owner of North Main Motors in Marysville Ohio and the 2023 Ohio Quality Dealer of the Year, will join a panel along with Jennifer Harlow of A&D Motors in Arab, Alabama, and Tyler Simmons of Abilene Used Car Sales in Abilene, Texas, to discuss Collections Strategies that Work.

The dealer panel is in addition to the deep-dive workshop on Collections and Underwriting by Govinda Romero of the Motory Group in Gainesville, Florida.

Register now for the BHPH Dealer Forum at niada.com/bhphdealerforum. Early-bird registration is open through Oct. 16 and is $200 off the standard member rate. Group discounts are also available.

The dealer-centric event will include dealer roundtables covering pressing issues for dealers along with deep-dive workshops and breakout education sessions.

The roundtables will be led by many of the industry’s top BHPH dealers, including Richard Barnard, Tio Chuy’s Auto Sales, Oklahoma City; Steve Jordan, AutoVida, Lancaster, Texas; Russell Moore, Top Notch Used Cars, Conroe, Texas and Ben Libby, Highway Motors, Chico, California.

The other two extensive workshops are Building a Proper Business Plan and Building Your Sales Pipeline.

The education breakout sessions led by industry experts and dealer panels will address accessing capital, hiring talent, adopting emerging technology, best 20 Group tips, marketing, sales, inventory management, and protecting your dealership from fraud and compliance issues.
