Texas Dealer Adds Another Award to His Mantel.

AUSTIN (July 29, 2022) – Scott Allen, owner of Auto Land in Haltom City, TX, and President of NIADA, was recently inducted into the Texas Independent Automobile Dealers Association Hall of Famer during the TIADA’s annual Convention and Expo held July 24-26 in Round Rock, TX.

With that induction, Scott has become the newest member of the TIADA Hall of Fame for his ongoing representation and advocacy for Texas dealers.

The TIADA Hall of Fame is not an award that is given out every year. TIADA reserves this award for dealers who have meant a lot to the association, both as business owners and as members.

In 2006, Scott began serving as the Fort Worth IADA president. Around the same time, he was urged by the then TIADA president, Bill Dobbins, to attend the TIADA convention. Afterward, he became more involved with TIADA. And boy was he involved, he served on a myriad of committees and positions and eventually served as President of TIADA.

Along the way, Scott has been recognized for his business accomplishments and his dedication to giving back to the dealer community. He was named 2010 TIADA Quality Dealer and 2011 National Quality Dealer of the Year.

Scott says, “I don’t belong to a 20 Group; I belong to 1000 Group. I have over 1000 dealers in my group – and it’s called TIADA.”

These accomplishments would not be possible without the lessons from his father, Gary, the loving support of his mother Beverly, wife Jodi and two daughters Amber and Afton.

“He is not just a leader within TIADA,” said TIADA Executive Director Jeff Martin. “He is a great representative of our industry.”
