After serving three years as the board president of the Arizona Independent Automobile Dealers Association, Jared Halsted has moved into a new role.
Halsted started last month as the interim executive director for the AIADA.
Halsted, who previously was a vice president on the NIADA Board of Directors, is looking forward to the new role and giving back to the many dealers that have helped him over his career.
“It’s a little change to sit on the other side of the board table,” Halsted said. “I have made my career and success because of dealers giving me information and knowledge.”
Halsted has been in the automotive business for more than 20 years and opened Double H Auto Exchange in Queen Creek in 2014.
He joined the AIADA Board of Directors in 2014 and served as president from 2020 to 2023.
Halsted sold his dealership in the past year. He was taking a break from the industry when this opportunity came up to serve dealers and continue building on the recent work of the association.
“I’ve always cherished and have been blessed to be able to give back to other dealers during my presidency here in Arizona,” Halsted said. “Getting the ability to help other dealers and give them the perspective through a car guy’s eyes has always been something that makes me happy.”
Halsted is focused on preparing for the AIADA Conference Sept. 8-11 at the Hilton Cavasonn in Scottsdale, adding to the education and bringing in new vendors to help dealers.
“Arizona has built its conference to be bigger and better and providing more and useful content and education from the prior year,” Halsted said. “
