NIADA will be holding multiple meetings and visits with members of the U.S. Congress in Washington, D.C., this week as part of its ongoing advocacy efforts on behalf of independent auto dealers.
NIADA has meetings scheduled with Rep. Rick Allen of Georgia and Rep. Vern Buchanan of Florida, who serve on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. There are planned visits with House Ways and Means members Michelle Fischbach of Minnesota and Nathaniel Moran of Texas. NIADA will also hold a meeting with Senator Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, who is on the Commerce and Appropriations committees.
During the meetings, NIADA will discuss issues facing the industry, including regulations from federal agencies.
NIADA’s lobby firm, Hance Scarborough, will be facilitating the meetings.
The NIADA PAC, the Political Action Committee of the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association, which was established to financially support candidates who share a common vision for the future of the independent dealer and who will continue to fight for the used auto industry, is making contributions to the federal office holders.
NIADA will be back in Washington, D.C., for the National Policy Conference on September 15-16 at the Omni Shoreham.
