BHPH Dealer Forum starts Sunday in New Orleans

Buy-here, pay-here dealers from across the nation will converge in New Orleans Sunday for three days of sharing ideas, tips and best practices during the NIADA BHPH Dealer Forum.

The dealer-centric BHPH Dealer Forum starts at 2 p.m. Sunday at the New Orleans Marriott with the General Session and run through Tuesday morning. The centerpiece will be the ever-popular dealer-moderated roundtables. The forum will also feature three deep-dive workshops, dealer-led breakout education sessions and panels.

The roundtables, which start at 2 p.m. Monday, feature many of the top BHPH dealers in the nation, including:

  • Jack Carter, Turn & Burn Motors, Conyers, Georgia
  • Nick Markosian, Markosian Auto, Taylorsville, Utah
  • Alan Lindsey, iGo Group, Columbia, Kentucky
  • Ben Libby, Highway Motors, Chico, California
  • Rich Barnard, Tio Chuy’s Auto Sales, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
  • Russell Moore, Top Notch Used Cars, Conroe, Texas
  • Steve Jordan, AutoVida, Lancaster, Texas

The talented dealers will spur conversations between dealers on a variety of topics impacting the BHPH industry from underwriting, collections, sales, marketing to employee retention.

The opening General Session will feature ComplyAuto Chief Regulatory and Compliance Officer Brad Miller, who will give an update on the FTC CARS rule.

Immediately following the opening session, the three deep-dive workshops will begin. Byrider’s Ben Goodman will walk dealers through developing a business plan. Doug Turner of Car-Mart will discuss inventory acquisition, vehicle mix, cost controls and remarketing strategies. Neill Waters will help dealers identify ways to improve their marketing with an emphasis on brand development, lead generation and sales funnel analytics.

Monday morning will include panel discussions and education sessions on sales, reconditioning, collections, emerging AI trends and more.

Before leaving New Orleans, the closing session Tuesday morning will feature the best ideas of the roundtables and keynote presentation from BHPH legend Ingram Walters.
