Look back on 2024 NIADA events

As 2024 ends, let’s look back at the successful NIADA events that brought dealers from across the nation together.

In June, hundreds of dealers and more than 1,200 attendees took part in the 2024 NIADA Convention at the Wynn Las Vegas, which included more than 50 hours of education across five tracks – BHPH, retail, marketing, management and compliance.

The largest event for the used vehicle industry also featured countless networking opportunities and impactful general sessions, including the latest market update and an enthralling conversation with the Lone Survivor Marcus Luttrell. Dealers also had the opportunity to connect with 100s of vendors to find business solutions during the large expo and visit lenders during the finance fair.

The convention ended with a celebration during the NIADA Awards Ceremony, including the crowning of the newest National Quality Dealer, Donald Sullivan, Jr., of Fredericksburg, Va.

Dealers and industry partners from across the nation joined NIADA for the 2024 Policy Conference in Washington, D.C.

More than 100 NIADA members met with U.S. Representatives and Senators during the Day on the Hill, discussing the Right to Repair to bring down the costs of auto repairs for consumers, the REDO Act to stop the vehicle shopping rule and the PART Act to curtail catalytic converter thefts.

Dealers met with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission to hold an open conversation about issues facing the industry. Dealers displayed the complexity of the paperwork in a current vehicle sale and explained the work they do on behalf of consumers.

Independent dealers also spent an evening talking with more than a dozen members of the U.S. Congress at the Capitol Hill Club.

The final event of the year was the NIADA BHPH Dealer Forum in New Orleans. For three days, dealers shared and collaborated on ideas to help their businesses. Dealers spent three hours developing a business plan for their dealership, learning how to improve their branding and sales pipeline and managing inventory during deep-dive workshops.

The centerpiece of the education at the Dealer Forum was the dealer-led roundtables. Led by some of the nation’s top dealers, the roundtables gave dealers the opportunity to exchange ideas on sales, collections, marketing, recruiting employees, reconditioning vehicles and other hot industry topics. Each of the roundtables presented their best ideas from the dealer-led roundtables during the closing session.

NIADA is looking forward to presenting more great events in 2025 to help dealers grow their businesses and support the industry. Make plans to join NIADA June 23-26 at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas for the NIADA Convention and Expo. Keep on the watch for dates and information on the 2025 NIADA Policy Conference and the BHPH Dealer Forum.
