New dealer-led education sessions announced for NIADA Convention and Expo

Dealers Tim Evans, Jon Turan and Jeff Watson will be headlining sessions as part of the ever-growing education lineup at the NIADA Convention and Expo.

Early-bird registration for the largest convention and expo for the used vehicle industry June 17-20 at the Wynn Las Vegas continues. The early-bird registration is $545 for members at niada.com/convention through May 20. The early-bird discount is $200 off the standard registration. Non-member early-bird registration is $845 and non-member standard registration is $1,045.

Dealers with registration paid by midnight Feb. 6 will be entered into a drawing for a suite at the Wynn during the convention.

Registrants can also take advantage of the discounted rooms at the beautiful Wynn hotel, starting at $174 per night, plus taxes and a reduced resort fee of $25 per night.

The sessions led by Evans, Turan and Watson are part of more than 50 hours of education led by experts in retail, buy-here pay-here, management, marketing and compliance. Members of every area of the dealership will be able to find valuable training. Each of the five tracks offers multiple sessions led by dealers and industry experts, including several panel discussions.

Evans, owner of Evans Auto Sales in York, S.C., will present the retail session “Lessons on Hiring That Changed My Dealership.” Evans will share strategies for hiring employees he’s developed in his more than a decade of running his dealership.

Turan, the general sales manager at MCMC Auto, Ltd., in Fort Worth, Texas, is leading the management session “Your Gut Feeling May Be the Problem.” Turan will tell dealers they need to fight their gut feelings and trust their data to find solutions for their business.

Watson, the owner of 4 Seasons Auto, LLC., in St. George, Utah, and co-host of The Independent Dealer, will present a buy-here pay-here session over best tips on make-ready lead generation, collections, technicians’ pay plans, and more developed during last fall’s BHPH Dealer Forum.
